MEET OUR PROVIDERS

   Wilikinia Vasquez, EdD, LICSW

April Jones, LICSW, CDP

I have been working in the counseling field since 2002.  I received my bachelor's degree in Social Work and my Chemical Dependency License from Eastern Washington University in 2004 and my Master's degree in Social Work from Eastern in 2006.I have experience working with adolescents, families, and adults in individual, group, and family therapy settings.

I began my career with adolescents at an inpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation center in Spokane. I then moved to Tri-Cities and began working at a community mental health center treating individuals with mental health needs.

I have specialized training in a number of areas including Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, relapse prevention, and drug and alcohol addictions. I utilize a cognitive behavioral framework and as such believe that short term (up to 6 months) of intense counseling works best for successful outcomes.

For treatment to be successful, you have to practice skills learned in session at home.

WORKING TOGETHER TO HELP YOUR CHILD ACHIEVE THEIR FULL POTENTIAL

A cornerstone of establishing an effective therapeutic relationship is getting a true understanding of the individual child’s strengths and challenges.  I firmly believe in providing a safe environment in which children and adolescents can focus on identifying areas of growth and healing.  A therapeutic relationship that is rooted in trust will allow for effective work to be accomplished.  I invite you to visit my personal website to explore how we can work together support your child.

Brandie Frisby, LICSW

Counseling is a journey that may involve some discomfort as you seek to understand and challenge your most inner thoughts and beliefs. Engagement in counseling is designed to bring about changes to your life's perspectives and consequently the decisions you make as well as the behaviors you elicit.

My therapeutic interventions are based on the Cognitive Behavioral Approach. We will collaboratively identify how your cognitions (thoughts and beliefs) impact your feelings and behaviors. We will work together to increase awareness of your choices and to empower you to live in accordance to your own value systems.

I enjoy working with individual adults, children, families and marital counseling. I am a child mental health specialist recognized by the state of Washington. I have over 15 years experience in the mental health field working with a variety of consumers with different mental health needs.

WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU
